Hi there, welcome back to the next step on how to make money online with Amazon. In my previous post on choosing products to promote in Amazon, I mentioned how and why I selected the type of products to promote in Amazon for my review sites. In this post, I am going to tell you where I got my domain name, my hosting account and how to set everything up. Feel free to skip this post if you are already familiar with this part.
Domain Name – I am using Namecheap to get my domain name, but if you are already comfortable in getting a domain name somewhere else, please go ahead, you do not necessary have to follow me for this part. Now, as for what domain name to get, I would suggest to get a general domain name instead of the product name in your niche. For example, if you go into the sewing machine niche, you can get something like “sewingmachineblog.com” or “sewingmachinereviews.com”. What we want here is to build an authority type of Amazon review sites, so try to have your main niche keyword in the domain name will do. In this case, it is sewing machine.
Hosting Account – Same thing here, if you already have an hosting account and is comfortable using it, please do so. For me, I am using Hostgator for my hosting account. I like to go with the baby plan as the plan allows me to host unlimited domain name for all my review sites.
Setting Up Nameservers – After you have got your domain name and hosting, you will need to setup your nameservers so that the domain name can park under your hosting account.
After when you have finished the above 3 steps, I am going to show you everything that I have used for setting up my sites. I will be showing you how to install WordPress (don’t worry, it is really easy), what WordPress theme I am using, which plugins I am using and also the settings for my Amazon review sites.
As you can see so far, all the things that I have mentioned in my posts are easy to follow and if you can follow it all the way to the end, I am pretty sure that you will have an Amazon review site that is going to make you some money. Although you probably won’t be rich from just that 1 site alone, you can easily scale up and create many profitable review sites just by doing the same thing. I can promise you that after you have created that first site, the next one will probably only take a few hours to create.
Once your sites started to become more stable, you will only need to post about once a week which is easy to do so and you can choose to outsource it as well from your earnings.
Next, for my next post, I am going to tell you some of the essential plugins that I have installed for all my sites and the themes that I used. Until then, see you!
